Sacred Sword of Cay

An intelligent Katana forged of mithril with hilts of filigreed Eog and lich femur handle engraved with scenes of Cay himself overcoming the forces of the Unlife. Originally intended to be Holy against all foes of Cay, the intelligence imbedded within underwent a kind of mental breakdown during the Wars of Dominion, and can only remember its mission against the Undead. Recognized by ally and foe alike, the Sword went through several weilders before becoming lost during the early centuries of the Third Era. Through the millenia, it became the stuff of legend and was presumed destroyed, until a self serving Erilni by the name of Shojlik came across it during a delving into an ancient ruin. Unfortunaltely, Shojlik was already in the service of the Unlife, and he hid it from the forces of Light for several centuries.

Shojlik's ego could not remain in check, and after his "death" he established himself as an object of worship for the nearby village, eventually demanding human "sacrifice" to satisfy his Undead hunger.

When Shojlik's followers kidnapped the servants of a local Seer, a young adevnturess by the name of Latunda was tasked with getting them back alive. Much mayhem and an epic battle with Shojlik himself followed, and the Sacred Sword of Cay was restored to the world.

Much has happened to the Sword since then, including a Curse by Moralis and the lifting of said Curse by Andaras himself...but that's a tale best told by the current weilder, Lady Latunda Wilfin

The Sword gives its Chosen Weilder access to the Paladin list Exorcisms to 20th level for use aginst the Undead only, and is Holy against Undead.
