Blade of Elements
An early creation of Tethior, the Blade was not meant to be used in the manner a sword would be. Rather, the mithril blade with edges of keron was meant to be a channel for the energies summoned by the handle. A special receptacle in the pommel was meant to receive precious gems, and at the weilder's desire, the gem would be consumed as the Essaence wrapped itself around the weilder, and out of the maelstrom would come an elemental effect dependent upon the value and type of gem consumed.
Not pleased with the effect it had on his gem supply, Tethior removed the handle from the blade. The blade was given to an apprentice for later use, but it was lost- along with the apprentice- during a journey to Tanara. The blade found itself among several successive troll hoards before being recovered by The Pious Drake. A quest for the Handle ensued, eventually ending up in Latunda's hands after a questionable deal on the streets of Sel-Kai with an individual who looked like Syzygy.
The completed Blade currently resides in the Vaults of Karilon.
